Lionheart has been an LCA Member kennel since 1999, and I have been a member of the Leonberger Club of America (LCA) since 1997, when I got my first Leo after a two-year search for just the right pup. I enjoy working with my dogs, and they are active partners in my home and my life. I train and compete with them in conformation, obedience, agility, rally, as well as train in water rescue, carting, tracking, and freestyle.

I have found Leonbergers to be extremely versatile, and willing to humor me in whatever sport I venture into with them. They can be a humbling breed, not inclined toward blind obedience and not fond of rote repetition. Nonetheless, I have titled my Leos in several arenas, and hope to add a few more titles over the next year or so. I started this website to showcase my dogs and share our achievements. And hopefully to inspire others to explore the joys of a training relationship with their dogs.
