Banshee vom Eichenluft, CGC "Banshee"

Banshee with Stick
Banshee's definition of a stick

And now for something completely different....

Banshee vom Eichenluft, CGC joined the Lionheart crew as a sport and companion dog in September 05. She comes from a long line of working German Shepherd Dogs. Her mother, Cora v. Granit Rose, SchH1 is a West German import and full sister of V-Ahron v. Granit Rose.

Banshee's father V-Eagle vom Eichenluft SchH3 IPO3 FH2 KKl-1 AD has made the national and world teams and is now 25-times SchH3. Banshee's immediate family boasts a wide range of working titles and jobs, from police dogs to therapy dogs and everything in between.

Very social, agile, and confident, Banshee is a blast to work with. Very smart, very eager, very driven. We have started agility, and she loves it.

Banshee and I are learning schutzhund, though my time available for it is very limited these days. Banshee has a strong drive, full hard grips, and no fear. She LOVES this sport, and is a quick study, as in everything else.

We are also working on traditional AKC obedience, rally, and agility, but Banshee's self-appointed role around the home is the activities director of the Leonbergers. She keeps them in tip-top shape with her games and ideas in the yard and leads the way on every nature hike.

At 24" and 76 hard-muscled pounds, Banshee is the "small" dog in the Lionheart crew, but there is nothing "small" about her personality or approach to life. She dives into everything with great enthusiasm and adores work in all its forms. She also appreciates the value of a snooze or snuggle on the couch on a lazy afternoon. She is the essence of what a German Shepard Dog should be. Protector, companion, friend, working dog, and she has been a wonderful addition to our home.

Please note: I do not teach schutzhund, so please don't email me for lessons. Go to USA's website and find a club near you and go to the people who are qualified to teach this complex sport. Banshee is not for sale nor will she be bred. She is my pet, just like my other dogs.
