Banshee vom Eichenluft "Banshee"

Banshee at 15 months

And now for something completely different....

Banshee vom Eichenluft joined the Lionheart crew as a sport and companion dog in September 05. She comes from a long line of working German Shepherd Dogs. Her mother, Cora v. Granit Rose, SchH1 is a West German import and full sister of V-Ahron v. Granit Rose.

Banshee's father V-Eagle vom Eichenluft SchH3 IPO3 FH2 KKl-1 AD has made the national and world teams and is now 25-times SchH3. Banshee's immediate family boasts a wide range of working titles and jobs, from police dogs to therapy dogs and everything in between.

Very social, agile, and confident, Banshee is a blast to work with. Very smart, very eager, very driven. We have started agility, and she loves it.

We began training in schutzhund, driving up to northern Virginia to work with Joe Gribben to do her protection work. We're now working with Armin Winkler in Palmyra. I'll get pictures up once I remember to bring a camera to one of her training sessions.

Banshee has high drive, full hard grips, and no fear. She LOVES this sport, and is a quick study, as in everything else.

Her natural tracking instincts are very strong just like her daddy Eagle and grandmother Ike, so I'm working hard to get myself up to speed so I can do her instincts justice. Obedience is coming along.

I hope to get her BH in 07 and start trialing in Schutzhund probably the next year. If you want to learn more about the sport, go to United Schutzhund Clubs of America.

Please note: I do not teach schutzhund, so please don't email me for lessons. Go to USA's website and find a club near you and go to the people who are qualified to teach this complex sport. Banshee is not for sale nor will she be bred. She is my pet, just like my other dogs.
